Irrigation and Water Transfer at New Gokula Farm

Allflo Pumps & Equipment was engaged to deliver a reliable irrigation and water transfer solution for New Gokula Farm, a sustainable community farm located in the Lower Hunter Valley of New South Wales.

The farm required a replacement for a long-serving tractor-driven pump, with a focus on reliability, performance, and long-term water security to support irrigation and dairy operations.

The Challenge

New Gokula Farm relies on harvested rainwater for irrigation, livestock, and dairy production. The existing pump had reached the end of its service life, and the farm needed:

• A reliable replacement with improved performance
• A solution matched to site conditions and duty requirements
• Equipment capable of supporting long-term, sustainable operations

The farm owners were also seeking a supplier who would take the time to understand their needs and recommend a fit-for-purpose solution.

The Allflo Solution

Following a site visit and detailed assessment, Allflo engineered and supplied a diesel-driven irrigation pumpset designed specifically for the application.

The selected solution included:

• A Remko 65-260 pump, delivering up to 22 L/s at 80 m total dynamic head
• A duty point of 21 L/s at 70 m total dynamic head
• An Allflo Eurotech E4945 four-cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine
• A Remko Eurotech controller with engine protection, monitoring displays and emergency stop

The complete pumpset was built in-house by Allflo to meet required performance & durability standards.

Implementation

Due to limited lifting capability on site, careful planning was required to unload and position the pumpset on delivery.

Allflo assisted in coordinating the unloading process to ensure a smooth and efficient installation.

Outcome

The new Remko pumpset now sits at the centre of the farm’s irrigation and water transfer system, delivering improved reliability and performance compared to the previous setup.

The solution provides consistent water supply to paddocks, supporting feed production for the dairy herd and strengthening the farm’s long-term water security.

The farm owners were highly satisfied with the outcome, noting the build quality, value for money and the level of personal service provided throughout the project.
